Introducing the APT-1 (adjustable Piling Top). This particular model is mounted (welded) directly to the top of a six inch piling. The second model, APT-2 (not pictured) has an eight inch piece of pipe welded to the bottom plate. The pipe has an inside diameter that is 1/16" larger than the outside diameter of your piling. The APT can then be slipped over the top of your piling and set screwed in place.
Both the APT-1 and APT-2 are designed to adjust the height of any floor support system. Either can be used as an individual piece for supporting a main beam or girder as in these photos. Or, either model can be used in sets to support the entire weight of the house such as those houses with foundations constructed out of steel or wood pilings driven deep into the ground. The advantage of such a device is obviouse. When a house is built upon any foundation it is almost inevitable that the foundation, over time, will shift. This shifting often causes the home owner to "re-level" the floor of the house. The APT has a built in leveling device which helps to save time and money for the home owner. No need to purchase a new house jack or time wasted figuring out how to jack up your floor to shim it. The APT is constructed entirly out of steel and can withstand extreme amounts of load force. It can adjust the height of main supports up to seven inches. However, if you need to adjust the height of a support that much, you've got bigger problems than you think.
