| David Wightman discusses our progress at 10:00
am on day 1 while we take a break somewhere on the Koyukuk river. At this
point in time we have traveled nearly 70 miles from Galena with little to
no problems at all. David's position is that, so far, everyone is in good
shape, everyone is having fun and it is a good time to be in Alaska. The
temperature is approximately -7 F with very little wind. David has the
rare ability to calculate many things by simply holding both hands up near
his head and making a "beep..beep...beep" sound with his mouth.
Somewhat like the ENIAC. |
